In a strategic move to streamline engineering consulting operations and strengthen regulatory compliance, the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) have commenced a retreat in Arusha aimed at guiding the registration process for the TANESCO Engineering Consulting Unit (TANECU).

The retreat, held from June 16 to 22, 2025 brings together key representatives from both ERB and TANESCO to deliberate on registration procedures, compliance requirements, and post-registration expectations for TANECU and TANESCO’s engineering staff.

The ERB delegation, led by Assistant Registrar Eng. Jamhuri Msabila, includes Eng. Abraham Kaaya (SEAP Programme Officer) and Ms. Lightness Mrema (Registration Officer). This team will be facilitating the sessions and offering detailed insights into engineering regulatory frameworks in Tanzania.
